The Purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is to assist the Pastor and the PLT in recognizing the needs of all parishoners through its works and deliberations.

The Parish Pastoral Council is a group of elected and appointed parishoners, working with the leadership of the pastor in conjunction with the PLT, to study and weigh those matters which concern pastoral works within the the parish.

To meet the needs of all parishoners, the members chosen for the PPC should reflect the make up of the parish and provide a competent cross section of opinions.

The PPC researches and advises the pastor and the other members of the PLT on pastoral plans and activities.

The PPC considers both those matters raised by their own mwmbership and those presented to it by the PLT. The PPC is a consultative group. The final decision rests with the pastor. The advice of the PPC is to be considered prior to announcing a decision.
